Being present.

Maintaining a present mindset is perhaps one of the most difficult obstacles I have come by.
I have found recently that when I consciously focus on my current experiences and environment, I feel my mind pulled in two competing directions, towards the past and the future -- ultimately leaving me subconsciously in a limbo between the three, distracted, confused and ultimately prohibiting me from experiencing life in it's richest form.
This being said, today I am changing my mantra from a purpose orientation to a present orientation. As I feel reflections of the past or anxieties of the future fighting for my current attention, today I will acknowledge these thoughts, write them down, and recite the following mantra to bring myself back to the present.
"I am here. I am present. I am living in this moment."
