I was drawn into Loom & Lace by the clothing on display outside the store entrance. Based on the clothing out front and the merchandise displayed in the window, my first impression of the store was that it would be extremely trendy. However, upon entering the store I quickly realized it had so much more to offer.

Loom & Lace had a very streamline interior design. This made it very easy and enjoyable to navigate the store. Merchandise was organized on racks or displayed on shelfs. The clothing was organized based on style and occasion. For example, all of the lounge clothing was located together and all of the business clothing was located together. I was surprised by the various styles this tiny store offered.

Loom & Lace's displays in front of the store stood out most to me on my visit. One of the biggest differences between European and US retail is the way they display their merchandise. In Europe many retailers put merchandise outside of their store on the street. This is very uncommon in the United States. Most US retail stores only have window displays. Europe does a combination of both. The display in front of Loom & Lace consisted of a quaint bench with fur resting on top of it, a manikin with stylish clothing and two other outfits hanging on the door of the store. It was the uniqueness of this outdoor merchandise display that caught my attention and lead me to enter the store.

Although I was impressed with most of my experience in Loom & Lace, the customer service did not measure up. When I entered the store the employee did not welcome me into the shop and as I navigated the clothing racks of the store there was no checkin. I realize that this is pretty normal in Europe. However, I was blown away that there wasn't a single interaction. Even a simple "welcome to Loom & Lace" could have made a huge difference.

Regarding the logistics of the boutique, the hours of Loom & Lace were very normal for Europe. It opens at 10AM every morning except for Sunday and closes at 6PM. Their return policy is a full refund before 14 days. Discounted items are final sale
